Must enter 2 CATT Events to be eligible! Enter 1 or more CATT event as a team – Entering solo or with a Sub also counts toward your teams Championship Qualification! The 2 events do not have to be in the same CATT Trail! CATT Fall 2024 and CATT Spring 2025!

If there has ever been a nicer day to go fishing, I haven’t seen it in my 54 years on this earth!! Moderate temps and a slight breeze made for ideal conditions on the Chowan River. The best news of all was that the fish cooperated as well with many teams reporting catch 30-40 fish throughout the day. Seems like the big girls might be in a little post spawn funk but the males were cooperating in a big way.

One team that managed to find some of the big girls was the team of Michael Evans and Brian Meadows who brought a nice sack of river fish to the scales totaling 21.27 lbs that was anchored by a 6.33lb kicker! The 2023 AOY winners took home a $2760 payday for what sounded like a good day on the River. I said it earlier and I’ll say it again these two guys just get harder to beat the more the season progresses.

Bubba and Tommy Banks made things interesting with a 20.79 lb bag that secured second place and a check for $950.

Apparently, it was a good day to be named Bubba cause the third-place team made up of Bubba Barnett and Bob Monroe brought in a 17.43lb bag to take home the third-place check worth $630.

The always tough to beat team of Kevin and Tyler Jones weighed in a 16.97 lb bag anchored by the days lunker weighting 7.81 lbs. to wrap up fourth place and a total payday of $1070.

Our next tournament will be May 25th on the Perquimans River. That will be our last regular season tournament and a chance to fish our championship in June out of Pembroke creek. We had a good turnout today and it was good to see some new teams show up today with a few of them taking home a good payday.
