We had 16 boats carrying 27 anglers come out to fish with us on what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Of those 16 boats, 13 came to the scales with fish. The top 3 were paid…
Our third-place finishers were the team of Rob Digh Outdoors and Nolan Saunders who brought me 5 fish weighing in at a total of 12.36 LBS. The third place finish earned them a check for $80.000..but wait, there is more! As the top 2 finishers did not enter the $50 side pot, this check for $400.00 slipped down to this team allowing them a total payday of $480.00. Congrats fellas!
In second place was a solo fisherman coming out of boat number three and that was Nathan Pyrtle who brought five fish to the scales weighing in at a total of 12.53 LBS giving him a check for $180.00 for the second-place finish. As Nathan also entered the $25 side pot, he won an additional $275 for a grand total of $455.00 for the day. Good work Nathan!!!
Our winners for this week, with an impressive total weight of 15.09 LBS on their five fish limit with a BIG FISH WINNING kicker of 6.37 LBS was the duo of Dwayne Hughs and Justin Cecil. Their hard work coming out of the 11 spot was worth a payday of $310.00 along with the check for the BIG FISH of $80.00 earning them a grand payday total of $390.00. Very nice days work to you both and congratulations.
Not to rub anything in…but rather just to point out the difference the side pots are…of 1st place would have entered just the 50 they would have won $790.00 / just the 25 they would have won $665.00 / entered both and they would have won $1,065.00. Just food for thought when you enter your next tourney. I have no skin in the game…I just like to see you all smiling and happy!
